I am from Madrid, love the city and want to share my special addresses. Every day a new idea, place or thing to do in Madrid. Everything has been thoroughly tested but it is only a personal opinion.

New opening in Gran Via, Gran Clavel

Gran Via has a new restaurant worth going to, it's called Gran Clavel and I tried it last week. In fact, more than just a restaurant, they have three foodie concepts so that everyone who enters the restaurant can find what they are looking for with a Madrid touch, between classic and modern.

Vermuteria - tapas bar
On the one hand, there is vermouth bar, where you can have a more informal "tapas" with vermouth, which is the typical drink, or of course with a beer or wine, but as the people of Madrid like it, a tapa to accompany either a potato omelette or some good anchovies.

In addition, Gran Clavel has the Casa de Comidas, that shows the typical recipes of Madrid and Spain but with a more modern touch. I loved the Russian salad, the artichokes and the delicious fish like the ray. On Saturdays, they offer stew on the menu, very appetising on these cold days.

I loved this dessert.. Strawberries with vinegar
Finally, if you're more of a wine lover, there's a wine bar with a special attention to the wines of the Madrid area. It's not just Rioja or Ribera!

Madrid for Kids.. some recommendations! Hairdresser and Baby swimming lessons

This post is dedicated to parents who have young children. We love to think that there is also a Madrid of special places for them.

It's always boring to go to the hairdresser, but what if instead of a conventional salon, your mother takes you to a magical salon? This super idea is located in the north of Madrid, by the Plaza del Perú and the children will find fantastic stars and cars where they can go through a good haircut and if they have lice... the solution also to that uncomfortable problem.

Also, now that summer and the swimming season in Madrid are approaching, we suggest you take your baby or toddler to a very exclusive little pool where they will be taught to float so that they are not in danger. Although in Madrid, there are many schools of this type I recommend a swimming pool where the groups are only 4 babies and parents in the water with classes of 45 minutes. Attached photo, ¿guess which one is my baby?

Madrid ART Week! Our visit to the Art Fairs + Fortuny in Prado Museum

Young admirer in Urvanity , Swinton Art gallery
This week is one of my favorite weeks of the year and as every year I can't help but write a post about Art Week in Madrid.

Starting with ArcoMadrid, the great event of art in IFEMA where this year's controversy has again been served by the Catalan theme. I was fortunate to have a guided tour on the same opening day thanks to Sushita and Solan de Cabras. I loved the work of the gallery Pilar Serra that represents the photographer Jose Maria Ballester with a work on Goya and the landscapes of his paintings.

Travesia Cuatro had amazing art pieces and I went to visit as a nephew of mine also works there. Also the good thing about this year is that each gallery offered artwork for less than €5,000 to encourage consumption and there were many interesting options. The only bad thing about ArcoMadrid is that it's so big, you get a little lost.

I was also able to attend the inauguration on Tuesday of Just Mad in a central space in Nuñez de Balboa. I fell in love with the clouds of Isabel Alonso Vega from the Gallery White Noise in Rome and the Portuguese galleries that have visited the Fair.

Finally today I attended Urvanity at COAM, a new exhibition of new contemporary art, Okuda's work in the gallery Ink and Movement and I also discovered the Swinton Gallery in Madrid.

Truck Art Project was also there with video and pictures of trucks.

Unfortunately I stayed with the desire to go to ArtMadrid where I've always seen cool things but I had tickets for Fortuny at the Prado Museum, wonderful exhibition, really recommend it and there's no time for everything you want.
