I am from Madrid, love the city and want to share my special addresses. Every day a new idea, place or thing to do in Madrid. Everything has been thoroughly tested but it is only a personal opinion.

FESTIVAL "SOMOS LECTURA" CASA DEL LECTOR - BEST AUTUMN PLAN FOR KIDS

Young passionate readers
Today in Madrid the rain has allowed me to have a good plan of friends with children, La Casa del Lector located in Matadero organized a Festival called SOMOS LECTURA free for everyone and open to all audiences.

bookclub

Since 11 a.m., we have been able to enjoy various plays, encounters with writers, magicians, food trucks and storytelling. In the meantime, the children's library also had some very tempting books to keep all the children entertained.

I also took the opportunity to take to my mother who did not want to miss the opportunity to do mindfulness and learn to use his mobile as there were also activities related to technology for seniors.

Story telling
The best thing is that all these activities are available throughout the year, just go to the website and sign up for the different workshops, activities and courses they teach, I encourage you to do it with or without children.

#SUMATEALPRADO CROWDFUNDING AT THE PRADO MUSEUM

Niña con Paloma (Girl with Dove)
On the occasion of its bicentenary, the Prado Museum has been inaugurated with a very exciting Crowdfunding project. Until the 9th of December, anyone interested in having their name listed as a donor to the Museum will be able to make a financial contribution from the Museum's website or physically at the Museum itself. This is the first time that the Museo del Prado has carried out an action of crowdfunding The donation does not need to be elevated as from 5€ everyone can be a donor.

The painting is called Niña con Paloma (Girl with Dove) by Simón de Vouet, a French Baroque painter, and the curiosity is that the girl in the painting appears in another painting by the same author who is already in the Museum. The donors with their contributions will help them to meet again after a long time.

The other painting at the Prado from the same author, as you can see it is the same woman  grown up

The advantages of donating are countless, I personally believe that your name appears in the Museum is already a luxury, but also all contributions will have tax relief.

Are you up for it?

ANOTHER WAY FESTIVAL

Another Way film Festival, Madrid's sustainable progress film festival, will be held in Matadero next October to raise public awareness of the challenges and environmental solutions we face through more sustainable filmmaking.

As an aperitif prior to the festival, in Sala Equiis which is now one of the coolest places in the city, there will be a screening of three wonderful documentaries from today until Friday at 7pm.

The films are as follows:
- Today: Koyaanisqatsi (1982) Godfrey Reggio produced by Francis Ford Coppola. Voiceless images that show the contrast of modern life with nature.
- Thursday: Human (2015) by Yann Arthus-Bertrand. Portrait of the human being, of his fears, love, violence.
- Friday: Life in a Day (2011) by Kevin Macdonald, produced by Ridley Scott.
Time capsule to show future generations what it means to be alive on July 24, 2010.

Theater Dangerous Liaisons - Naves del Matadero

We love going to the theater, especially when you have the certainty that the play is a good one. Las Amistades Peligrosas is a well known 18th century french novel and also an american film. Therefore, I couldn’t resist seeing how it would be played by Spanish actors in the modern Naves del Matadero. My surprise was to find a very daring production with great actors, great costumes but very modern punk soundtrack!
