I am from Madrid, love the city and want to share my special addresses. Every day a new idea, place or thing to do in Madrid. Everything has been thoroughly tested but it is only a personal opinion.

My little Madrid Plans during coronavirus

We have been confined since March 14th and I have personally been stressed out by the amount of balcony and indoor activities, recipes, whatsapps, fakenews and video calls that have surrounded us.
After 3 weeks and with a certain acquired calm, I felt it was the right moment to write this post, hoping that all our readers are enjoying good health and their families too.
I also want to share with you some recommendations that have helped me throughout this period of time, without wanting to overload your agenda.

Il Tavolo Verde, Organic Café and Antique Market

Big glass windows, lovely antic furniture, organic food and a pleasant atmosphere close to the Retiro: I am talking about Il Tavolo Verde, (which in italian stands for the gaming table). The perfect place to go to by yourself for a relaxing lunch or tea time with a book. I sometimes feel that in Madrid, there are not enough places to go to on your own when you find yourself in a quiet mood.

Fashion Designer Teresa Palazuelo - this time for kids

We were invited by Teresa Palazuelo to her Atelier. The occasion was the presentation of her line TPKids, First Communion outfits. I have to say that I liked many things. First, the place: a traditional atelier, with large tables, beautiful fabrics and seamstresses delighted with their diligent work.

Las Meninas - Children's Theater at Teatro San Pol

We are happy to announce our collaboration with Teatro San Pol in their production "Las Meninas". It is a childrens play inspired in Velazquez's Las Meninas and the city of Madrid. A good plan for the little ones! We have collaborated with our drawings of Madrid buildings for the introductory video, and we are very proud!

National Geographic store in Madrid - New Menu

national geographic party in madrid

Although the National Geographic Store is in Madrid since 2010, I had never visited it simply because I did not know about its existence. It was a nice surprise to be invited to the renewal presentation party that took place on Thursday. And even more surprising to realize that this huge space has nothing to envy to the London National Geographic Store, it is even better! Specially the restaurant and its new menu.

Museo Cerralbo - A Secret Jewel

pond at Museo Cerralbo

Last week Casa Decor 2013, this week Casa Cerralbo 1893! Maybe I am funny but I find lots of parallelism between the two spots! Museum Cerralbo, after all, is also a residential area where there are objects of art and decorative recreations, yet in this case, corresponding to the late nineteenth century. Well, I'm not totally serious but I cannot stop thinking that, with the obvious differences, Museo Cerralbo is as much of a display as Casa Decor, yet reflecting the taste of a different era (by the way very much in trend nowadays, just take a look at the cinema listings!).  Sigue leyendo, en español más abajo
