I am from Madrid, love the city and want to share my special addresses. Every day a new idea, place or thing to do in Madrid. Everything has been thoroughly tested but it is only a personal opinion.

Maria's Bakery

Cakes at Maria's Bakery
Maria's bakery is a very nice little bakery at the end of my favorite street Blanca de Navarra. Well, it is really located at Zurbano 15, just at the angle!! It is true that finding good traditional bread in Madrid is not as easy as in other European cities. The famous "barra de pan" chewy and insipid, from the typical Panadería is a product to be avoided if possible. Maria's bakery, on the contrary, is a good choice for bread, cakes and other delicacies.

Pop Up Store - Madrid In Love

pop up store

madrid in love

Is this Paris? Amsterdam? No, it is genuine Chamberi district in Madrid. A Pop Up vintage initiative called Madrid in Love opened during the month of June, from the 1st to the 30th, and from 11:00h to 20:30h. A mix of vintage furniture and objects plus the possibility to eat and drink simple things like salads and sandwiches from Magasand. A good choice for lovely weekend mornings!!!

Olivia Te Cuida has become one of my favourite places in Madrid. This little restaurant with a single large table and three little tables on the side is a very special place.

Gastro Bar - Le Cabrera

Le cabrera is an outstanding place for an afterwork, a first/late drink and, recently discovered, a genuine Brunch. It offers great gin tonics and other cocktails, carefully prepared in a dandy-chic ambiance. There is also limited and carefully chosen food. Good looking crowd across two striking floors.

The place takes its name from Diego Cabrera, the Argentinean barman in charge who has crafted the drinks menus at most of Arola’s gastro temples. Decoration by Luis Galliusi, another Argentinean import who happens to be the capital’s hottest interior designer with the assistance of Alberto Gómez Font.

Special mention to the Brunch served until very late and offering genuine Bloody Mary, delicious eggs Benedictine, luscious pancakes and many others. A real Sunday morning pleasure to be booked at the ten-seat communal high table on upstairs floor.
