I am from Madrid, love the city and want to share my special addresses. Every day a new idea, place or thing to do in Madrid. Everything has been thoroughly tested but it is only a personal opinion.

Mylittle Madrid Plans during coronavirus

We have been confined since March 14th and I have personally been stressed out by the amount of balcony and indoor activities, recipes, whatsapps, fakenews and video calls that have surrounded us.

After 3 weeks and with a certain acquired calm, I felt it was the right moment to write this post, hoping that all our readers are enjoying good health and their families too.

I also want to share with you some recommendations that have helped me throughout this period of time,  without wanting to overload your agenda.

Here they go, hope it will help:

- Schedule: Try to have one, it's important to have a wake up alarm and make a difference between work day and weekend

- Meditation: Starting your day with it, makes a huge difference. I personally have 15 minutes first thing in the morning for over 3 years ago. I recommend these apps: petit bambou or headspace  with a free program to start with. If you want to read more about it, the book is Biografia del Silencio from Pablo D'ors

- Exercise: at this point, I have to say that confinement has come in my favor, because being a lover yoga, many of my favorite teachers are giving free Ashtanga and Vinyasa yoga classes by Instagram direct. My recommendations: Veronica blume in the morning from 8.30 to 9.30 several days a week . In the afternoon you can get connected to angie.yogaaddict and mysore yoga house Madrid

And if you can't make it on time, don't worry the classes stay on hold for 24 hours on Instagram and Zentro urban yoga has different streaming classes by paying a small amount of money

- Learning: I have taken my embroidery kit out of the closet and I registered enjoying  50% discount on domestika with a top teacher I met while doing a workshop at Peseta

- Tyding up: I know it's sounds boring but now you have the time, no excuses. For that I recommend Marie Kondo method, a japanese expert that will help you getting rid of clothes, furniture, papers and objects. Your mind will thank you now that we need space!

And finally, and taking into account that we spend so much time at home, I recommend you to travel virtually thanks to the Netflix program to The World's most extraordinary homes, a virtual relief!

And as a good show to watch today that will for sure blow your mind for 60 minutes, I recommend: Cirque du Soleil

Hope you enjoyed our recommendations and please take good care of you! #yomequedoencasa

French Castle? Nope, Castillo de Viñuelas and Nuevo futuro

it could be A french Castle in Loire, but it's Madrid
Yesterday took place the first edition of Nuevo Futuro Family day in the impressive Castillo de Viñuelas. The day was so good that I hope it can become an annual event. The Ong Nuevo Futuro has been known for hosting children and teenagers in special homes for 50 years. For a long time, their Christmas market has been the place to be.

Taberna La Alhambra a Best Buy for September

This has been my September best buy discovery, very adequate for crisis times: Taberna la Alhambra. Located in central Madrid, 9 Victoria Street, near Puerta del Sol it offers an unbeatable choice of typical Spanish dishes for as little as 10€ all included!!!

Restaurant Yue Lai - Chinese HOTPOT

A best Buy!
Again an incredible discovery: Chinese restaurant Yue Lai at Hermosilla 101. I have never been to China but this must be a very similar experience. No spring rolls, no rice “tres delicias”, the specialty here is the HOTPOT;

Restaurant Ribeira II

A best buy
A starter, a main dish, a desert, wine and coffee for 9 euro!! Yes, that was the price I paid yesterday at Marisquería Cervecería Ribeira II in Calle Marqués de Viana, 3-7.
The nice thing about Madrid is that you easily find surprising places like Ribeira II where food is homely made and homely priced. You always need to ask for the “Menu del día” - daily menu -; a choice of 4 starters and 4 main dishes (including fish and meat). Obviously you can also get fine seafood and other delicacies, always cheap enough but not 9 euro.
Don’t expect fancy decoration (forget Ten con Ten and Luzi Bombón), but do expect neighborhood company, it is cheaper and better than eating at home!

It is just in front of "Mercado de Tetuán"
