I am from Madrid, love the city and want to share my special addresses. Every day a new idea, place or thing to do in Madrid. Everything has been thoroughly tested but it is only a personal opinion.

Three good reasons to visit the new NiMú Barquillo

Restaurant NiMú used to be inside Hotel Adler in Salamanca district and we loved to go specially on winter for its Cocido and delicious food in a calm, causy environment, very apropiate for intimate dinners or business lunches.

Now, you can visit them in their new location as they closed their venue in Goya to open a new concept in the heart of Chueca. I went to visit them yesterday, and I really liked it!
Reasons to visit NiMú Barquillo:
Tomato tartar with avocado and Ensaladilla Rusa
  1. It has a good representation of Spanish Gastronomy starters, specially the great "Cecina" which is a typical product from León, where the original NiMú opened its doors for the first time. I was also big fan of the "ensaladilla", which is sometimes difficult to find well prepared. As main dishes "Albóndigas" and "chipirones" were outstanding, but my favourite Tuna dices with foie!
  2. It was also quite original to eat original japanese/Spanish fusion like the nigiris with "gamba al ajillo", typical shrimp with garlic and olive oil and "Morcilla", blood pudding.
  3. Being in one of the most alive districts of the city, the big bar at the entrance of the restaurant invites people to go only for drinks too.
Nigiris in another variation, this time with fried egg!
